A sweet tooth from a young age, met a desire to stay healthy one day. Never able to ‘diet’ in the official way, just the idea of deprivation sent me running to the snacks drawer, eating double what I’d normally eat. Always liked to exercise, but probably not as often as I should. But diet is 80% of weight management they say.
So, a habit of eating mostly ‘good’ settled in, but at 3pm the sugar cravings still came. A protein breakfast helps, but living a big life sometimes needed more of a helping hand.
Sometimes you just want that full stop after a nice meal. Sometimes you just like the way sweetness tastes.
Why do we brand ‘sweet’ as good. What would have happened to our food or our lives if we made salty sour the good guy, that real honest in your face guy as the hero, not the one full of literally sweet nothings, the one who runs away (sugar crash) when you need her!
So why do we have to feel guilty after a sweet treat? Why do we have to feel like we interrupted our ‘good’ eating habits, fell off the wagon, have to start again tomorrow?
Why do we have to choose between ‘good’ and ‘bad’ … advances in food processing technology means we can have what we want when we want, but should we? Why can’t it all be good for you, I don’t want to have to choose, to stand around in the supermarket doing long division on the fine print, and how many grams per serving is this again?.
NO!
Just make it all good. All easy. Give me one less decision to make in a day. Please.
Give me one less thing to do on the to do list. Add the supplements to the food! All the goodness in one go, so I can relax and enjoy myself. The protein means I won’t be reaching for more in two hours.
So you don’t have to worry, not only is it delicious, and enhanced, it’s Aussi Bon.
